The Environment is very important to those of us at Chamberlain Services LLC. That is why we stay as current as possible with the latest energy efficient and environmentally friendly technologies. We are also educated and experienced in specialty energy and heat sources. Below is information on “Going Green” when you are ready to replace or purchase a system.
When installing new systems, we recommend those containing the refrigerant R-410A. It is environmentally friendly and is currently considered harmless to the ozone layer. Most people currently have heating and cooling systems which contain R-22. This refrigerant which has contributed to ozone depletion is currently being phased out.
Energy efficiency has become a priority for many with today’s rising utility costs. System’s for your home are available with efficiencies as high as 95+ percent. The efficiency of a system is rated by SEER. This stands for seasonal energy efficiency ratio. The lowest rating of 13 SEER is least effective. The highest rating of 21 + SEER is the most effective. This provides the consumer with multiple options to cut energy consumption.
An extremely environmentally friendly option is a Geothermal Heat Pump. Basically it uses the earth’s temperature to heat and cool your home. It uses minimal electricity, and is recognized by the EPA among the most efficient heating and cooling technologies.
Currently the Government is offering TAX CREDITS known as the Stimulus Plan that you can take advantage of when you choose to install a High Seer or Geothermal System.
